Having a major change in life can knock you off your feet.

Whether it seems like a big deal or something small, trying to adjust to a change in life can take a toll on your mental health. You may be feeling more anxious about what’s to come and the future unknowns. You may be feeling sad about what used to be or defeated because you don’t know how you’ll get through this change. These emotions feel overwhelming, out of control, and can start to impact the way you feel about yourself, how you interact with others, and your ability to get through your day the way you normally would.

These feelings don’t have to control your life. You CAN work through these feelings and find yourself again.

Having increased emotions while going through a life change is a normal experience, but when it starts to impact your daily life and relationships, seeking support can be life changing. I will support you and be by your side to find steady ground again. We will focus together on processing your emotions, finding healthy ways to cope through what you are feeling, and building a healthy support system. I know this change can feel heavy and like it may never end. With time, healing, and support you can start to feel relieved and experience a life you enjoy again.

My Experience Coping With Life Changes

Life changes can trigger or heighten symptoms of anxiety, depression, and traumatic/distressing experiences. I have extensive training and experience supporting individuals with these symptoms to learn to identify their emotions, implement healthy coping skills, and build healthy relationships. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a helpful treatment used for trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other distressing life experiences. I have also learned how to cope through my own life changes such as college, marriage, stressors in the workplace, end of relationships, pregnancy loss, grief, and additional distressing experiences.
